Thank You Seth Godin

01.06.2010 by Angela Crocker // Leave a Comment

In this fast pace world of social media, digital communication and constant connectivity,  I see Seth Godin as a voice of reason in the madness.  I greatly admire his succinct, thoughtful blog posts and today I got up to do a little dance when I read Bullhorns are overrated. Ask any of my clients or students and they will have heard my “quantity versus quality” speech. For me social media is about making meaningful connections with real people who share like interests. I have no interest in shouting to the masses and encourage those around me to follow the quality path as well. And today, here’s Seth Godin with the perfect analogy … so let’s all lose the bullhorn. I, for one, am listening.

New Year, More Blog

01.01.2010 by Angela Crocker // Leave a Comment

Do you know the fable of the shoemakers’ children? The tykes who went barefoot as Dad made shoes for everyone else in the village?  Well, my blog’s been a bit like that since I started it last spring.  While I’ll still be spending time coaching others on what to write, drafting suggestions and preparing editorial blog calendars for clients, I also plan to give my own blog some love and attention.  I’ll write about social media and my passions – theatre, books, writing, photography, comics, and other cultural adventures.
