One of the things I love about social media are the introductions made. Through my friend and client George Plumley (author of the book WordPress 24 Hour Trainer – due out any day now), I was recently introduced to Mark McLaren from McBuzz Communications in Seattle. BookCamp Vancouver 2009
What a treat to meet publishing friends new and old at Bookcamp Vancouver, an unconference on the state and art of publishing. During the day, I had the opportunity to co-moderate a panel on “Book Marketing From a Reviewer’s Perspective” with Lori Dunn. The Golden Rule
Recently, I was in the green room of one of Vancouver’s top TV interview programs with a client. Studio 4, hosted by the affable and talented Fanny Keifer, offers rare extended interview in these days of 30 second sound bites and 140 character blog posts. My author was one of three guests and, as usual, we chatted and made small talk with the show’s wonderful staff and others in the room.
