I’ve long been a fan of Hootsuite as a tool to manage multiple Twitter accounts or other social networks like Facebook, Ping.fm, WordPress, and FourSquare. Now Hootsuite has added a new team feature that allows more than one person to act on behalf of an account. Take for example, the book blog I write for The Book Broads.
In the example here, the left column shows the assortment of Twitter accounts that I have access to. Click on any one of those names and the right hand column shows every team member for that account. So, for The Book Broads Peggy Richardson is the owner while Kim Plumley & I are team members. Ultimately, the owner controls an account and doles out varying levels of access to team members ranging from limited access to advanced access. A very handy feature for collaborative projects.
